I am happy to inform you that my department(CS&SE, AUCE(A), Andhra University) is organizing a two day workshop on Cyber Forensics(CYFOR 2013) and I am the convener for the workshop.
Theme of the workshop:
Cyber
Forensics also called as Computer Forensics can be defined as the process of
extracting information and data from computer storage media and guaranteeing
its accuracy and reliability. The goal of Computer Forensics is to perform a
structured investigation while maintaining a documented chain of evidence to
find out exactly what happened on a computer and who was responsible for it.
The challenge of the forensic investigator is actually to find the data,
collecting it, preserving it, and presenting it in a manner acceptable in the
court of law. As the cyber crimes are increasing in an
unimaginable way, this
workshop is specifically designed to provide the right knowledge to the
aspiring Forensic investigators, Cyber
Security enthusiasts, Researchers who want to prove themselves in this area and
students.
This two
day workshop will explore the different topics related to cyber forensics like
Memory forensics and Mobile Forensics.
